RES INC. ENTERS E-COMMERCE WITH cybercash

NEWS RELEASE

SEPTEMBER 25, 1996, OTTAWA: RES International Inc. and CyberCash Inc. of Redwood City, CA, have concluded an agreement for joint development of the E-Commerce market. RES Inc. is licensed by CyberCash to provide the payments system SDK of CyberCash to its customers.

CyberCash Inc. will make its own announcement of the agreement in connection with the Fall COMDEX show, where both firms will be exhibiting their products (Las Vegas, November 18-22).

RES Inc. has developed BAZAR Interactive Marketplace, an INTERNET purchasing system geared to the needs of governments and public institutions. BAZAR supports comparisons of vendors, audit trails, and the complex approval process common to public sector organizations. CyberCash is a superior system for secure handling of the payments end ('Back End') of electronic commerce (e-Commerce) transactions over the NET. BAZAR and its variants are being introduced to governments and telecom companies. In Canada, the volume of public sector purchasing readily suited to the NET is estimated to be $ 10 - 20 Billion per year. Present actual NET purchasing is close to zero. CyberCash and BAZAR of RES Inc. are the first complete solution to public sector purchasing over the NET.

RES Inc. is traded on the Canadian Dealing Network (CDN) under the symbol RESZ.
